Since most bug repellants have chemicals that flare eczema, I created my own concoction. I used my chillax science knowledge to develop a mixture that would be gentle on the skin and good enough to repel bugs. In this post, I am sharing the recipe that has worked for us. It is not as potent as one with DEET, but it is strong enough to keep bugs away.

Making your bug repellent, however, is a money investment. Buying essential oils can put a dip in your pocket, for sure. But they are SO worth it and can be used for many things! Join the oils wagon, this investment will last you for a long time!
For this bug-repellent recipe, you need four different essential oils. You can buy essential oils in different stores. These are some of my favorite brands. Click on the images to buy them!

Easy, right? It is a staple at my house nowadays. Finally, I recommend not using this recipe in children younger than 2 years old. And as a precaution, always test on the skin before applying to a larger area.
